Please note that we only charge £20 delivery for our single mattresses but doubles or larger are charged at £30.
We recommend that you try our mattresses out in store before you purchase online as we regret that we cannot accept the return of a mattress once the packaging has been removed unless it is faulty. For full terms and conditions click here.

26 March 2012Fitzgerald Std King - Good but when we were sold this mattress as we could not try a 5 we were told that it would be possible to change it if the 6 were too hard whereas when my husband mentioned this last week, he was told that this was not really an option.
26 March 2012Fitzgerald Std Double - I would like to make a comment about the poor qaulity of the delivery service. Initially, I was due to take the delivery one Saturday morning and, when the driver arrived, he said that he could not get the lorry down the road. An arrangement was made to deliver the following weekend in a smaller vehicle. The driver of the hired, smaller vehicle said that he could not get the vehicle down the road as he was worried about knocking the parked cars (and he would personally have to pay if he knocked into anything) - it was quite clear to me (and others) that there was plenty of space (and the available width was exactly the same as the previous week which, presumably, the previous driver had reported back on - more than enogh to get a large dustcart down the road each week). I suggested that the delivery men park at the top of the road and carry the furniture 50 yards down to my house - this was initially rejected on the grounds that the driver could not leave the van unattended in case of theft or getting a ticket (there are no parking restrictions in the area!). He remained at the van whilst a friend of mine and the delivery assistant carried all of the furniture down to my house. It is just as well my friend was around to do this otherwise the furniture would not have been delivered at all. I have never met such "glass half empty" people in my life as these two delivery men!! They moaned and groaned about getting the furniture upstairs and said that they were late for their next job and that they did not get paid if they worked after 2pm (this is not my fault!). I had paid £25 to have the bed put together - when I looked at the bed after they had left, they had left several screws out and and even screwed all the drawer handles to the INSIDE of the drawers!!! - unbelievable!!! I was told the mattress could not go up the stairs as it was "too stiff" so it was left in my dining room - I have since got it into the bedroom with minimum difficulties. I was happy with the service I received from Feather and Black per se (store, telphone etc) but I would recommend that you review the contract you have with the delivery company as this is doing Feather and Black no favours in terms of customer perceptions.

01 March 2012Fitzgerald Std King - They way they handled a damage problem with the first bed (by arranging for a complete replacement without any fuss) was exemplary.
15 February 2012Fitzgerald Std King - The service and the company were very good, however a lightly damaged bed stead was sent to us. The company has offered compensation which has been accepted together with some paint to patch up the damaged section. However, a quick check on the goods before they were sent out would have ensured that this was not sent out in the first place.
16 January 2012Fitzgerald Std Super King - Took three replacements until I received a Marblehead 6-drawer unit that was acceptable, and that was only achieved doing a mix and match between two units on the back of the delivery van. Feather & Black were obliging on all occasions, but the quality of the product leaves a lot to be desired.

Waited rather a long time for delivery and some bed linen also on order we were told would come even later even when it was in the shop as we later found out!

03 November 2011Fitzgerald Std King - My order was not processed properly after payment, so the dispatch depot did not deliver it on time as they didn't think it had been paid for. As a result I had to pay an additional £40 to get the mattress delivered privately. This is after waiting 8 weeks for the mattress. Very disappointing.
It was lovely to have the opportunity to discuss this with your wife this afternoon. I do apologise for the delay in processing your payment and the subsequent problems this caused with arranging your delivery and I hope that you find the resolution agreed with your wife to be acceptable.
