03 May 2012Salisbury Std Slatted4'6" - The service in the shop was excellent - friendly and helpful. The delivery company was a different matter. The lady I spoke to about delivery times was unbelievably rude and unhelpful - there were only two delivery slots available, neither of which suited my work times and she was not at all prepared to be flexible. I had to wait until I was on holiday for the bed to be delivered. The whole process took from the end of jan to the start of April - unacceptable. I complained to your customer service - Laura - who was very helpful, but she could not do much about changing the delivery times to suit me. In the end I was given a £50 voucher as compensation. I would really ask you to look at your delivery company and get them to be more flexible re delivery slots - two mornings a week is really not acceptable when most people are at work and find it hard to take time off. When the bed was delivered the delivery men were very efficient and did a very good job putting the bed together.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback. I do appreciate that it's not always easy for customers to take time off work. After your initial contact with the delivery company proved to be unsatisfactory, we did everything possible to try to arrange a delivery slot which fitted in with your work times but unfortunately your request for a delivery after 4pm could not be accomodated as the drivers are legally only permitted a certain number of hours per day. We also looked at the option of an early morning slot however with the assembly time required, the delivery would not have been complete by the time you needed to leave for work. I am so sorry for the inconvenience caused and hope that you have now managed to find something nice to spend your voucher on.

18 April 2012Salisbury Std Slatted4'6" - failed to fulfil an order which was placed with a specific deadline. When delivery failed there was no facility to overide delivery procedures to get a replacement on time.
I can see from the notes against your order that the bed was delivered on time but there was an issue with some parts being missing. Our delivery partners did inform us of this immediately and we despatched the missing parts to ensure that they reached them the following day which was the Thursday. You needed the bed specifically for the Friday and unfortuantely, the delivery crew were then unable to get back out to you to complete the assembly in time. I am so sorry that we let you down and for the inconvenience caused.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I can see from the notes against your order that the showroom did contact our purchasing team at the time of ordering to see if there was any possibility of re-allocating stock in order to get your bed out any quicker. Unfortunately this wasn't possible and therefore there was no option but to wait for the next delivery from our suppliers. This delivery was due in on 23rd February and on that day we contacted you to pay the final balance in order to release the goods for delivery. At this time, you requested delivery for 17th March which was subsequently confirmed with our delivery partners. I do apologise for any inconvenience caused but I do not think that on this occassion there was anything more we could have done. With regards to the slats, we do have very few issues with them breaking. Had we been aware that you had a broken slat, we would have sent a replacement to you and I will of course now arrange for this to be sent to you.

12 April 2012Salisbury Bedside - The delivery service was poor. I was emailed 2 hours before delivery rather than the day before which was an issue as I was working away. I then rescheduled online for the next day but received no further contact as promised on the rescheduling confirmation. As I had taken the day at home I then had to call Feather &Black several times to ascertain when the deliver was due. Eventually I received the delivery past 6pm that day. Not a good experience.
I am sorry to hear that you were let down by the courier service. I can see from the online tracking that an e-mail was sent at 14.55 the day before scheduled delivery. This e-mail was generated automatically as the parcel was scanned on to the vehicle at our warehouse. Occasionally, these e-mails are blocked or can go to junk folders. However, this would seem very odd as you received the second e-mail sent at 9.03 the following morning. On the whole, we do find this courier service tobe very efficient and I'm sorry that on this occasion things didn't run smoothly.
