I have been getting very excited about the release of my new TV show Annabel’s Kitchen on CiTV, and one of my favourite episodes was "Midnight Feast" where children came over for a sleepover and we cooked lots of delicious snacks for our midnight feast. For great sleepovers we needed the perfect beds, so that everyone had a good nights sleep. Feather & Black's Noah Trundle beds are ideal for this. My children were always having friends over when they were younger, and having a bed that can neatly fold away under your main bed is just perfect, meaning you don’t have to fiddle around with cushions or blow up mattresses. These fold away beds are so much more comfortable and don’t deflate in the middle of the night! Two recipes which are great for quick snacks when you have friends over are my Oriental Plum Chicken Wraps, as they are an easy, quick and yummy snack for sleepover guests. Also my delicious Crunchy Caramel Popcorn is a winner for movie nights – but watch you don’t get popcorn in the sheets! As well as cooking great snacks for a sleepover, party games are always popular. The Memory Game is...

To celebrate that spring is most definately here, we have invited style guru Jane Cumberbatch along to give us her ideas for creating the perfect spring bedroom... Spring is here! What bliss it is when I can walk barefoot on the grass and lie face up in the first warming rays. This is also a very good time to head to the bedroom, all fusty after months of closed windows and layers of thick blankets, and give it some simple updates: Start by having a really good clear out of the cupboards and pile moth eaten jumpers and never worn bad sale buys into bags to take to the local recycling bins. Get scrubbing (don’t forget the rubber gloves) with a bucket of water and a good scrubbing brush. Open the windows to let the fresh air in and clean them too, with newspaper and vinegar. You’ll be amazed at how much lighter and less gloomy, your bedroom will appear. One of the easiest and quickest ways to change the look of the bedroom is to give it a coat of wrap around white paint. For ease of painting move everything into the centre of the room, and cover it...

Yesterday was international pillow fight day, seeing over 130 cities across the globe take part. I'm not sure that there is any particular reason for this other than it's jolly good fun. Check out the images below courtesy of guardian.co.uk, showing the frivolities taking place. My only question is who had the unlucky job of clearing up afterwards? Were you there?

Just back from another whirlwind run round our supply base in the Far East (China and Vietnam). The pace of change and infrastructure investment is astounding….and we even had a chance to go on the new Chinese bullet train at c.400km. Many of the factories we work in are ‘state of the art’ world class facilities and would be regarded as such whatever part of the world they were situated in. Not everything is changing though…and am always amazed culturally by the differences between east and west. The first picture shows something we encountered in a Cantonese meal in southern China…..The second picture was taken in Vietnam, and shows us being overtaken by some geese on the way to / on their way home from market.
